Therapeutic blue light in the Onyx Fusion is completely different from the harsh short wave blue light that comes from phones and screens. It uses a precise 480 nm wavelength delivered at a gentle intensity that works only on the surface layers of your skin and eyes to provide targeted wellness benefits.

For the benefits, we’ve discussed in this blog, we recommend using our Fusion smart mode for “skin health” from approximately 24 inches away.  This will offer 50% of the power of all the wave lengths for 10 minutes. We still do not recommend looking directly into the light.   If light is still too bright, please use the custom dimming mode that can reduce all the wavelengths or just the blue and green wavelength. 

  Morning (recommended): Use this full spectrum setting as part of your wake-up routine. This is when blue light delivers its strongest mood, energy, and circadian benefits.

  Daytime (optional): A quick session with blue light on can provide an extra lift in focus and clarity whenever you need it.

  Evening and night: Always turn the blue light completely off. The ONYX Fusion lets you do this by dimming blue & green light all the way down, so you can enjoy only the relaxing red & near-infrared wavelengths that support recovery and prepare your body for sleep. Using blue light late in the day can signal your brain that it’s still daytime and make it harder to fall asleep.


Because the Onyx Fusion uses long wavelength 480 nm light and puts you in full control, daily sessions of 10 minutes per session are gentle on the eyes and completely safe when you follow the simple day/on, night/off rule.
